1. Who we are
ReSight·it (“we”, “us”) is a small website business run by Mor. You can reach us at mor@resightit.com. “You” means the business or person who orders a website from us.
These terms apply when you request a sample, approve a site or pay for our service. By doing any of these, you agree to them.
2. What we do
For one monthly or yearly price, we:
- build a modern, phone-friendly website for your business, either a one-to-one copy of your current site or a fresh design;
- host it, with a secure connection (HTTPS);
- connect it to your existing domain, without moving the domain out of your account;
- give you a website assistant, so you can change your site yourself whenever you like, and make changes for you by email within 2 business days (see section 6);
- send you a short visitor report by email each month.
We don't sell or manage email accounts. Your email stays with your current provider, and we take care not to change its settings when we connect your site.
Our service is for simple business websites: pages about your business, your services, photos, reviews, contact details and a contact form. Online shops, bookings, memberships and other complex features are not included unless we agree on them in writing.
3. Free samples
We may prepare a free sample of how your homepage could look, either because you asked for one or because we came across your business. Samples are free and you have no obligation to buy anything.
Samples use information that is already public on your current website, such as your business name, text and photos. They are hidden from search engines and are only shared with you. If you'd like a sample removed, just tell us and we'll delete it.
4. Building and approving your site
- Once you decide to go ahead, we build your full site and send you a private preview link.
- Your finished site is ready to review in less than a week. The week starts when we have what we need from you, such as your choice of design, any new text or photos, and answers to our questions.
- You can ask for corrections before you approve. We'll make reasonable changes until the site matches what we agreed.
- You pay nothing until you've approved the finished site. If you decide not to go ahead, you owe us nothing.
- After you approve and pay, we help you connect your domain with clear, step-by-step instructions, and we check everything works, including your email. Your old site stays online until then.
5. Prices and payment
- Monthly (no commitment): $34 a month, with free setup. You can cancel any time.
- 12 months: $374 for 12 months, paid in advance, with 1 month free and free setup.
- Prices are in US dollars. Your bank or card provider may add a currency conversion fee.
- Payments are made in advance, for the coming month or year, by the payment method we offer when you approve your site.
- Your first payment is due when you approve your site, before it goes live.
- If a payment is more than 14 days late, we'll remind you first. If it still isn't paid, we may pause the site until it is.
- If we ever change our prices, we'll tell you at least 30 days before. The new price applies from your next renewal, never to a period you've already paid for.
Your domain itself is registered in your own name with a domain company, and you pay its yearly fee (usually about $10–20) directly to them.
6. Changes and bigger work
Changes are included and unlimited. You can make them in two ways:
- Yourself, with your website assistant. Your site comes with an assistant you open from a private link. Tell it what you'd like changed, for example text, prices, opening hours, contact details, photos, a special offer, a new service or a customer review, and it updates your site. You can use it as often as you like. Please check each change on your site; you're responsible for the content you add.
- By email, and we do it. We make each change within 2 business days of receiving your request, together with everything needed for it (for example the new text or photo). Business days are Monday to Friday, not counting public holidays. If something in your request is unclear, we'll ask you, and the 2 business days start once we have your answer.
- Every version is saved. If a change goes wrong, we can put back an earlier version of your site.
- The assistant is for your own business website. Please don't use it to add anything unlawful, misleading or that you don't have the right to use, or to run automated requests. If we see that, we may pause the assistant and talk with you first.
- Bigger work, such as a new page, a new section or a redesign, is done by us. We'll give you a clear price first, and never start without your OK.
- Urgent fixes for something broken on our side (for example, your site not loading) are always free, and we work on them as quickly as we can.
7. What stays yours
- Your domain stays in your own account. We never ask you to transfer it to us.
- Your email stays with your provider.
- Your content (your text, photos, logo and business details) remains yours. You allow us to use it only to build, host and look after your site.
- Your site: once you've paid for it, the finished design of your site is yours to use. If you leave, we'll send you the full site files (its pages, images and styling) free of charge, so you can host them anywhere.
We keep the rights to our own general tools, templates, code snippets and know-how, and may reuse them for other clients; this never includes your content or your business details. Fonts, icons or stock photos made by others stay under their own licences; we only use ones that are free for business use or that you've provided.
We may show your site as an example of our work, for instance on our website. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we won't.
8. Your part
- Give us accurate information about your business, and tell us when something changes.
- Only send us text, photos and logos you have the right to use. You're responsible for the content you ask us to publish.
- Don't ask us to publish anything illegal, misleading or harmful, or that breaks someone else's rights. We may refuse such content.
- Keep your domain registered and renewed. If your domain expires, your site and email stop working, and that is outside our control.
- If your site collects messages from your customers, you're responsible for how you use them. We set up the form so messages go straight to your email.
9. Hosting and availability
Your site is hosted on Cloudflare, one of the world's largest and most reliable networks. Sites like yours are very rarely offline, but no service can promise 100% uptime. If something goes wrong on our side, we'll fix it as quickly as we can.
We keep a copy of your site so it can be restored if anything goes wrong.
10. Renewal and cancelling
- Your plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, so your site stays online.
- No contract and no lock-in. You can cancel by emailing us at any time, with no exit fee. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your site stays online until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Because you only pay after seeing and approving your site, payments for a period that has already started aren't refunded, except where the law says otherwise.
- When you leave, we send you your site files free of charge within 5 business days and tell you how to point your domain elsewhere. Your domain and email are untouched. If anything you owe us is still unpaid, we send the files once it's settled.
- After the paid period ends, we take your site offline and may delete our copy after 30 days.
- We may end the service with 30 days' notice, or straight away if these terms are seriously broken (for example, illegal content or repeated non-payment). If we end it without any fault on your side, we'll refund any unused paid time and still send you your site files.
- We may briefly take a site offline without notice if needed to deal with a security problem, a legal complaint or content that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why as soon as we can.
11. Responsibility and limits
We do our work with care and skill. To the extent the law allows:
- we don't promise particular results from your website, such as search-engine rankings, visitor numbers, enquiries or sales;
- apart from what these terms promise, the service is provided as it is, without other guarantees;
- we're not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages of hosting or internet providers, attacks, natural events, war, illness or government action. If this happens, we'll tell you and catch up as soon as we can;
- we're not responsible for problems caused by things outside our control, such as your domain company, your email provider, internet outages or third-party services;
- we're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost sales or lost business opportunities;
- our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened.
You're responsible for the content you give us to publish. If someone makes a claim against us because of that content (for example, a photo you didn't have the right to use, or a claim on your site that isn't true), you agree to cover the costs that result for us.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can't be limited.
12. General
- Changes to these terms: if we update them, we'll post the new version here and tell current clients by email at least 30 days before important changes apply.
- Privacy: how we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
- Disagreements: if anything goes wrong, please write to us first. We'll do our best to put it right.
- Email counts: requests, approvals and notices sent by email count as being in writing.
- Whole agreement: these terms, plus anything we agree with you by email about your site, are the whole agreement between us. If one part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still rely on it later.
- Transfer: we may pass our service to another business (for example, if ReSight·it is sold), as long as your rights under these terms stay the same and we tell you first.
