1. Who we are
ReSight·it is a small website business run by Mor. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at mor@resightit.com.
2. What we collect
When you request a free sample
Our form asks for your website address, your email address, which design you'd prefer, and an optional message.
When you email us or become a client
Your name, email address, business name and details, the content you give us for your site (text, photos, logo), and records of payments and invoices.
When you visit our website
Only anonymous statistics, such as how many people visited, which pages were viewed, the country and the type of device. These can't identify you. See section 6.
3. If we contacted you first
Sometimes we find a business whose website we think we could improve, and we email the business to offer a free sample. To do this we use only information the business has published itself, such as its website, business name and public business email address. Any sample we make is hidden from search engines and shared only with that business.
If you'd rather not hear from us, just reply “no thanks”. We'll keep a short note of your business email so that we never write to you again, and we'll delete any sample we made for you.
4. How we use it
- To answer your request and prepare your free sample.
- To build, host and look after your website, and make the changes you ask for.
- To send you your monthly visitor report and messages about your service.
- To handle payments and keep the records the law requires.
- To contact businesses about a free sample, as described in section 3.
We use this information because you asked us to do something, because we have a contract with you, because the law requires it, or, for first contact with a business, because of our legitimate interest in offering a relevant service. We never sell your information, share it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.
5. Services we use
We use a few trusted companies to run our business. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Cloudflare hosts our website and our clients' websites, and provides privacy-friendly statistics.
- Web3Forms delivers messages sent through contact forms to the right inbox.
- Google (Gmail) handles our email.
- GitHub stores the files of the websites we build, in a private account.
- Anthropic provides the AI behind the website assistant. When a client uses the assistant, their messages and the parts of their site needed for the change are sent to Anthropic to carry it out.
- The payment provider you use to pay us processes your payment. We don't see or store your card details.
Some of these companies are based in the United States or other countries. They work under recognised data protection safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies and statistics
Our website doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites. That's why you don't see a cookie banner. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without collecting anything that identifies you.
Our website loads its font from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download it.
7. Websites we host for clients
For the websites we build and host for our clients, each client is responsible for the information on their own site and for the messages their customers send them. We act on their behalf: contact form messages go directly to the client's email, and the statistics we send them are anonymous counts, collected without cookies.
If you've contacted one of our clients through their website and have a question about your information, please contact that business first. We'll gladly help them answer.
8. How long we keep it
- Sample requests that don't lead to a website: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client information: while you're a client, and afterwards only as long as needed for invoices and legal records (usually up to 7 years for financial records).
- “No thanks” notes: kept so we never contact you again.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, in the UK or the European Union), you have the right to:
- see the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- object to us using it, or ask us to limit how we use it;
- receive a copy in a common format.
Just email us. We'll reply within 30 days, free of charge. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live, such as the ICO in the UK.
Our services are for businesses and aren't aimed at children.
10. Contact and changes
For any question about your information, email mor@resightit.com. If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell clients about important changes by email.
